Patty's Knoll- North Carolina

We had such a wonderful time in North Carolina at Patty's cabin in Bakersville aka the boony mountains. Seriously, we were 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store and 40 minutes from Johnson City, Tenn on the other side of the mountain or "mowten" as Joshy called it. Each time we would mention the mountains Josh would break out into "Go Tell it on the Mountain" which was cute the first couple of times, but after a while.....
Jonathan to my surprise was truly my little mountain man climbing and hiking on "his" adventures with his Dad. Josh on the other hand went on a hike and on the atv the first day and that was the extent of his outdoor adventures. "it too cold Mommy"...besides the fact that layers, gloves, and snow hats were not his thing. Don't worry Mommy kept out of the cold as much as she could. Patty's cabin was beautiful...yes, as you see in the pics it was a real log cabin with all of the comforts of home (without internet and cellphone signals..which was nice)...my kind of mountain adventure. Thank you, thank you Patty for taking us to your secret get away. We love you!!
