I just finished scanning hundreds of photos/important docs of my Mom's family from the past 60 years. My grandmother did a great job of taking and keeping photos of everything...I mean everything. This is something that I wanted to do for a long time and I am gifting my family members with a DVD along with their part of the photos for Christmas. Throughout the process I learned even more about the ministry and the many adventures that my grandparents had. It will be a year in January that my Papi (my grandfather) went to be with Jesus. And my grandmother has been living at an assisted living house for the last year suffering from dementia. At times it is difficult to see her like that, but sifting through these memories has helped me remember what an impactive and full life she has led. Coming to the U.S. without knowing a word of English in 1950, she traveled with her husband to Minnesota to minister to the Mexican migrants. They later moved to Ybor City in Tampa and planted a church. Then they came to Miami where they planted 2 churches in the midst of aiding the flood of Cuban refugees with clothing, jobs, shelter and food. She has traveled the world with my Papi and has enjoyed every moment of being a grandmother to her 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Tonight more than ever I feel honored to be the granddaughter of Amanda and Oswaldo Martinez. (that's my mom in the photo with my grandparents).

Dearest Vicky,
Thank you for this beautiful gift of memory. I also am blessed to be their daughter and yes also your mom.
I love you so much.

Vicky,
What a beautiful tribute to our legacy. May we draw strength and courage from Papi's and Mami's example to persevere in this race.
Much love,
Debbie
Dear Vicky,
Thanks for this nice tribute. Thanks also for all your work in making the CD from so many pictures. Papi would have been proud of you! Mama still is, of course! May the Lord bless you, David, Jon, Josh and all of us this Christmas.
Love,
Anna
Dear Martinez Girls,
I know this was a hard Christmas time without you Papi, but I have to let you know that you are so blessed to have this memories and legacy to carry on in you family...and an artist as Vicky to preserve the good name of your family.
Thank you for your friendship. Merry Christmas!
