Broken Elbow

Poor Jon broke his elbow last night. He was playing with a soccer ball and slipped and fell right on his elbow. He really didn't cry, but he wouldn't move it...so we decided that it would be best to take him to the ER just in case. Even though I was doubtful that coming to the ER was even necessary, our worst fears were confirmed...he fractured his elbow.
What a trooper we have! He was totally compliant with the doctor, the x-ray techs and the cast guys. Jon didn't even know what a cast was until last night.
We have to prop it up and ice it for 2 days....(he's already bored.) Then he has to keep the cast for 4 weeks with no playing outside because they don't want him to sweat in the cast. This is going to be interesting for a 5 year old little boy!!

We'll pray for rain - so no one gets to go outside! Lots of movies and coloring. Unfortunately it looks to be his left arm, so he can still do school work :(
Same thing happened to me - fractured my wrist during PE in 10th grade but it was the left one - so still was expected to do my work - bummer all around.
Love ya guys and praying for quick healing!
