So South Padre Island didn't fair so good, but Brownsville made it out just fine. Dave's family on the levee already has electricity. I did learn that Brownsvillians are not as hurricane savy as we South Floridians (I'm not being caulky, just a simple, shocking observation). They need to have hurricane preparedness awareness over there.
1. Have your supplies once hurricane season starts: (water, nonperishable foods, flashlights, batteries, portable radios, tvs, generators etc.)
2. Fill your car up with gas before the hurricane
3. Get $$$ out of the ATM
4. Get shutters or plywood and use them!!
Maybe you need a Hurricane Andrew in your lifetime to enhance your "hurricane" preparedness. :)

so glad it missed brownsville. we saw a tidbit on the news right before it was about to hit. glad all are safe and missing everyone lots! happy birthday to jon!
