The hardest thing about parenting is definitely discipline!!! Jonathan and Joshua are very strong-willed children in their own different ways. Joshua is in the typical throwing the tantrum stage of toddler-hood. He is very creative in how he knees with his face to the ground (like a praying Muslim) when he doesn't get his way.
Then there's Jonathan who may not live to the age of 5 at the rate he has been outright disobedient, talking back, and not listening.
Yes, for all you parents out there, I know this is pretty normal for a 4 year old boy, but jeez it's wearing my nerves thin. He is such an intelligent child (therefore he has some creative ways to be bad). I pray everyday that the Lord will start convicting his heart very early. Both my brother and I prayed to receive Christ at young ages and my parents said what a difference it made in our lives. Yes, we still did our bad things, but that attitude of defiance had left. Our lives were changed for eternity.
I challenge all parents no matter how young your children are pray for their souls, pray for wisdom, and never give up.

Hey!
There is no other way I know of getting in contact with you so I decided to write here =) I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the little words you said to me yesterday during the "washing of the hands" time at the end of service. Eventhough it wasnt more than maybe 30 seconds I felt like if I had to say THANK YOU!

Love you Idys..
Yes it wears you out. Emily is beginning this phase - being defiant. You mean it continues on past 4?! I continue to pray that God will give me wisdom! I'll pray for you, you pray for me and maybe both sets will find the Lord as soon as possible and give us some rest!
