Today, I was wondering how people go through life without God in their lives. How do you deal with heartache, pain, suffering, sickness or what may come your way? The Lord gives us the strength to overcome and persevere through all these. Right my family is dealing with two very different pains. My Papi has taken a turn for the worse with aspiration pneumonia again and a severe bacteria infection throughout his body. It's so difficult for all of us to see him deteriorate before our eyes. My prayer is for him to no longer suffer in this horrible state. I just want him to be healed or to go be with Jesus.
Our other pain has been the broken marriage of my in-laws. After 30 years of marriage how do you throw it all away? I'm not going to get into the details, but it's very, very sad. My husband and his brothers and his Dad are truly suffering over this. The enemy really knows how to destroy a family. Our only comfort is prayer and the Word of God.
1 Peter 5:6-11
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever.

sorry to hear about your on-going ordeal with your papi and dave's with his parents. yes, the enemy does know how to hit us. but going through the ordeal i had, i learned how to shift my focus - that it is necessary for you to go through all these trials because God is preparing you for another level! Just remember JOB's story and believe that in the end, just as Job was blessed 2x as much as what he had before, you will also be! Love you guys and will be praying for you.
