A Great Weekend

Yesterday, Dave and I took the kids along for the Doral student ministry Thanksgiving event. God totally provided the funds for us for 3 Thanksgiving baskets. We all had a blast at Publix and thanks to Holly for making the super-money saving list. We carpooled to all three families: one in Doral and two in Liberty City. It always amazes me how when you think you are blessing others you are the one who is really blest.

After all that, Dave, Holly, and I took Jon, Josh, Emily and Katie to the Falls for the Santa parade. We couldn't have asked for better spots and weather. And the parade was really good...not too long and not too short with marching bands, Chinese dragons, carnival guys on stilts, fire engines, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus. Things like this are so much fun when you are with little kids since everything is so new and exciting.

Then, today Dave gave an awesome lesson on week 5 of our series the Seed (parable of the sower Mark 4). We had communion with the students which was very awesome to share as a group. This flowed right into Pastor Troy's message on leveraging our power, position, and possession in service to God and others. And we closed the day with the international feast after church.

And Praise God we had 380 in attendance!!! This is a record attendance for FRC Doral. This is a campus that started with less than ten people 2 years ago. All I can say is I love my church, it's leaders, and most importantly the vision.
