Okay... so Halloween didn't quite go the way I had planned. Thanks to all the rain and wind I decided not to drive up to Doral with the kids. So poor Dave was in Doral missing his Super Boys.
Since no one trick or treats in our condo buildings, I was determined to get my kids some candy. So first I took them to Publix. Except all they got there was two small bags of candy leaving Jonathan bummed. So, I decided "what the hay" let's go to West Kendall Baptist's (our former church) trunk or treat since it's about 2 blocks away from the house. It ended being really good to see all my old friends ...it's like going back home when you've been away for a really long time. My kids were loaded with candy, and I finally got to talk to many of those whom I never got to say my "goodbyes" to.
Even though I didn't get to hang out at FRC Doral's Trunk or Treat, I thank God for the opportunity to see dear friends I wouldn't otherwise had seen. And my kids are happy too... I had to basically tear the candy away from Josh. He must have eaten like 6 pieces. It was a good day.
