Missing in Action

Sorry to all my few faithful blog readers for taking a week to post. A. I didn't have really much to blog about & B. Yes, you guessed it!! My calendar was so hectic this week that all I wanted to do when I got home was eat, hang out with my kids and sleep. You'd think with a 4 day week it wouldn't be that bad.
As most of you have read or already know, Dave turned "30" on Wednesday. It's kind of weird to imagine that we are entering the next decade of our lives. Well, I actually have 2 1/2 more years before I get there.
Also, we had first Wednesday at FRC Cooper City. Pastor Troy had a powerful message about spiritual warfare. Once you realize that as Christians we are being attacked by the devil you see life's adversity in a different light. You have to be on guard and vigilant about what comes at you. As Christians, we have to always hold true to the fact that the battle has been won at the cross. We don't have to live in defeat, discouragement, depression or in doubt. We are the winners!!!
Today was one of those days when I realized that not only do we battle spiritually, but so do my children. Jonathan took it upon himself to test out David's razor on his fingers and face. If that wasn't bad enough, he told his Dad that he fell in the bathroom and that's how he got cut. He LIED!!!! Finally, he admitted the truth after he knew he was going to get it. Isn't it amazing that you don't have teach your children how to do evil things? They too have a spiritual battle inside them. Their flesh urges them to do what is wrong. If that wasn't bad enough today, Jonathan also burnt the bottom of his foot on a weed eater. He was told to stay away from it because it was cooling off. But, of course he to touch it with his foot. It was a fun to be a parent :).

No matter how old you are. Be on guard and remember that we don't battle flesh and bloods but the devil.
