When you least expect it

This week has been a little tough with both boys sick. Yes, if you read Dave's blog we spent some time in the ER on Tuesday with our little man Joshua. He gets these fevers that really scare us because they spike so high. Back in November he actually had Febrial Seizures....that was the scariest thing I ever experienced besides Dave's drunk driver accident. Anyway Joshua has your typical cold with an ear infection. Then, Jonathan had asthma attacks all week. I was hoping we'd make it at least a couple weeks into the school year before the sickness began. All I know is that all 4 four of us will be at my the pediatricians office getting our flu shot when it becomes available in October.
Needless to say, I've been a little distracted and a bit (really a lot) stressed out with all this. When your kids are sick, as all parents know, it is very exhausting. Well, my Heavenly Father sent me a huge reminder today that He is in total control of our "crazy" lives. He reminded me today that He honors those who honor Him.
David and I, from the moment we married 5 years ago, made a commitment to the Lord that no matter our circumstances we would always be faithful with our tithe. You know what?? We have always had enough to pay our bills no matter what was going in our lives. Even when I was the only one working when Dave was disabled after the accident, we had exactly what we needed.
Well, the last couple of months we have been very tight financially having to pay two tuition payments for the boys. God came through and provided the exact amount for both their tuitions for the year with my yearly raise. This has come after I was blessed with a really generous bonus from my company.
All I have to say is thank you to my Provider and Sustainer.

So sorry the boys have been so sick. Remember if you ever need anything, food, medicine, whatever we're just a phone call away. Hope everyone is doing better, we'll say extra prayers. At least you're getting it done early and prayerfully the rest of the year will be uneventful! But yet, we know your history of uneventful years! LOL... But really, anything, let us know.

One day when i become a mother, Lord willing, I will be able to say "I can empathize with you"... but for now, let me just say that in times like this, may the joy of the Lord be your strength. Hope Josh is ok now.
